UMD Bike to Work Day

Mark your calendars and grease up those chains for UMD's first Bike-to-Work day! On Friday, June 11, UMD faculty and staff are eligible to participate in the event, a sure-fire way to boost your physical and healthy activities. Bike to Work Day encourages and promotes the use of the bicycle for transportation to work as a healthy and safe alternative to driving. It's good for your body; good for your pocketbook; and good for your carbon footprint. If you bike, come join us for information on bike safety (proper cycling techniques, maintenance tips) learn about parking areas for bikes at UMD, free light breakfast, free water bottles, prizes and more!

Sign in is from 7:30 am to 8:15 am at the Kirby Bus Hub. After you sign in, head on up to the breakfast and bike safety workshop, held in either the Kirby Garden Room or Kirby Rafters (depends on the number of participants) from 8:30-10:00 am.

 

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, you may do so here. Please register by Wednesday, June 9th.
